Tim & Mandy {February 5, 2011} Lethbridge Wedding Photographer

Tim and Mandy were married on a crisp but beautiful saturday in February. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, beginning to end. I love the chance of being with the bride and her bridesmaids just minutes before the wedding and feel all the excited nervousness shared! (Mandy, you were so cute)!

Mandy and Tim were all smiles throughout the whole day. I loved photographing these two for their engagement as well, and could not wait for the wedding. Tim was always making Mandy laugh! They are so cute together. I had such a wonderful time with you two, thank you for letting me share in your special day!

Baby Cole - 4 days new

I got to photograph this little angel over the weekend. Normally I like to photograph newborns after they've been fed, and are sleepy so they are easy to maneuver, but this little guy just did not want to sleep! He was so good though. He would cry a little bit when we moved him to a new position, but once we got him where we wanted and left him alone, he was just so content to lie and let me shoot away!

A Must Read for Brides

I found a great link to a list for brides to get the best photos possible. (HERE) If you are planning for full day photo coverage for your wedding day, this is a must read! This is one photographers personal guide to help create a great environment for you and your photographer.

Tip of the Month!

Rule of Thirds. What is it about?
When you look through your viewfinder, imagine a grid over the view from your lens. (I guess like a tic tac toe grid if that helps?) The picture is divided into nine equal parts right? Where these lines intersect are the best points to focus your subject in. Not focusing your subject in the center of the frame, but rather on the points where the lines intersect, creates interest to your photograph. It tends to draw the eye to the subject, which is usually the goal in especially portrait photography, but also makes an impact on other types of photography like nature, and macro!

Secret Little Obsession

Every girl has their own little secret obsession, from candles, to bath soaps, to panties. Mine? Diamond rings. I LOVE them. Diamonds are a girls best friend? Oh yea! I know it seems a little materialistic, but I think jewellery is a fun way for women to express themselves, and a little thing that makes a girl feel special. I think there is a diamond ring to fit each woman's own personality, just like clothing. Some of the rings I have seen are pretty unique and outstanding! I would love to be a ring designer. I just think it would be so much fun! I know it's probably one of the worst little obsessions to have, and hey, I'm a wedding photographer, and the wedding rings are one of my favorite little details to photograph! So? It's great! Take a look! ;-)
